Exotic Thai

This renovation of a Quad-City Thai food institution included a full exterior remodel, complete interior transformation, and an exterior patio expansion that blends traditional elements with modern upgrades.

This project started with transforming Exotic Thai’s existing building from a multi-tenant commercial space into a home all their own with one cohesive design. Exterior wood elements with integrated lighting provide a warm and inviting entrance. The expanded glass entry and exterior patio seamlessly blend indoor and outdoor dining.

The restaurant’s goal was to bring the sun and warmth of Thailand to the interior of the space. Many custom features and finishes reinforce this goal. The design team thoughtfully curated the wall art and worked with the owner to merge both new and traditional elements to reinforce the restaurant’s cultural aesthetic.

The renovation prioritizes functionality, with a large kitchen equipped with all new appliances to optimize workflow and enhance food preparation. Essential features like a walk-in cooler and cook-line hood ensure the highest standards of food preparation. This design successfully elevates its environment to create a vibrant and sophisticated destination for diners.
