Miss Phay Cafe

The exterior and interior refresh of this restaurant brought a fresh and vibrant atmosphere to reflect the cuisine being served with colorful materials, greenery, and custom murals.

This downtown Davenport restaurant received a grant for historic preservation, providing this project the opportunity to renovate the exterior facade and interiors while preserving many historic aspects.

The existing conditions of the building were taken into consideration to maintain the storefront entrances. A refreshed and bright aesthetic was achieved through use of accent paint colors and painted murals. New lighting and signage elevate the new look, and a patio designed to complement the interior of the restaurant was created to provide an outdoor oasis.

The interior design team worked closely with the owner to maintain the existing character of the interior of the building while bringing in a new look. Inspiration was taken from the rich history of Thailand. The design team and owner blended existing conditions, modern colors, and cultural elements to create this beautiful space.
