A little over a year ago, I made the decision to Make the Leap to self-employment. I was fortunate to be able to set modest goals. The first goal was to land my first job! The second goal was to be able to pay myself! And the third goal was hire my first employee! The company achieved each of these goals in 2016 because of hard work, being fortunate to build new relationships and the development of an outstanding client base.
Year 2016 far exceeded our expectations and we have reasons to believe that 2017 will be even better! Two weeks ago, our third employee started and he happens to be a very good friend. January 16th, Zach Enderle, AIA, joined the team as a Principal Architect. Zach will be opening [design] [build] by architect's second location, located in Downtown Rockford. Zach is a licensed architect in Illinois and Wisconsin as well as a LEED accredited professional and has the ability to be licensed in any of the fifty states. Zach's experience includes Education (Daycare through Higher Education), Municipal, Healthcare, Industrial, Restaurants, Religious, Office, Residential, and Community Centers.
Zach and I met while studying at the University of Illinois, I had the privilege to sit next him in our first architecture studio and we continued to take the same courses throughout our Bachelors and Masters degrees. We learned to feed each other's work ethics and we look forward to establishing new relationships while strengthening our current projects at [design] [build] by architects.
We also decided it was probably time to have a professional develop an official logo for the company. Let's face it, the logo was missing one key attribute of the business, the Airstream! We look forward to having the Airstream sprinkled throughout the Quad Cities and Rockford areas this upcoming year!
