Award winning Boutique Design Firm in East Moline, IL is searching for a Project Manager / Project Architect to manage and oversee architectural design projects. Streamline Architects is searching for someone that is interested in design and construction, and who is committed to providing the highest level of service for our clients.
The Project Manager / Project Architect will be responsible for overseeing projects from conceptual design to the time the project opens its doors. As a project manager / project architect, you will work alongside a team of project managers, architects, and interior designers, and will report directly to the studio director and owner. Project Managers / Project Architects perform initial design work, create construction documents, perform construction administration and oversee project performance. You should have strong leadership skills, knowledge of building codes, and the ability to think creatively on small and large projects.
To be successful as a Project Manager / Project Architect, you should display great interpersonal skills and be able to relay important information. An outstanding Project Manager / Project Architect should also be open to criticism and learning opportunities.
Project Manager / Project Architect Job Responsibilities:
Develop a design through programming and listening to the client’s needs.
Reviewing and designing architectural design and construction documents.
Ensuring all plans are compliant with the building codes and zoning ordinances having jurisdiction.
Strong familiarity with Design/Build project methodologies.
Ability to work with contractors to develop the best design solutions that meet the owner’s budget, schedule, and aesthetics.
Providing guidance to construction teams and helping them interpret design specifications.
Liaising with clients to ensure all issues are addressed in a timely manner, and that project requirements are met.
Ensuring the team works together to achieve set goals and targets.
Project Manager / Project Architect Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Architecture.
MA Degree in Architecture is preferable.
3+ years of work experience in a design or architecture practice.
Diverse project portfolio consisting of hospitality, residential, office, retail, and education.
Willingness to work overtime as required.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Brilliant interpersonal and networking skills.
Detail-oriented and highly analytical.
In-depth understanding of Autodesk software.
In-depth understanding of Sketchup & Lumion design software.
